Soko's 25 points lead Duquesne past NJIT, 71-64

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Ovie Soko scored 25 points, converting 11 of 16 from the free throw line, to lead Duquesne to a come-from-behind, 71-64 win over the New Jersey Institute of Technology Wednesday night.

The Dukes, who snapped a four-game losing streak with an 83-81 win over St. Bonaventure Saturday, roared back from a 10-point deficit midway through the second half, taking the lead on a Derrick Colter 3-pointer with 3:58 left to go up by one, 59-58, and closed the game out with a 12-6 run.

NJIT (9-14) was led by Terrence Smith's 20 points. One of the better 3-point shooting teams in the nation, the Highlanders were just 5 of 17 from long range.

Duquesne (10-9) got 13 points from Micah Mason and another 11 from Colter while out-rebounding the Highlanders by 11 boards, 37-26, and pulling down 13 offensive rebounds.
