SIU-Edwardsville edges SE Missouri 93-88 in OT

EDWARDSVLLE, Ill. (AP) Donivine Stewart scored nine points, dished out 11 assists and sank the final free throws that cemented SIU-Edwardsville's 91-88 overtime win over Southeast Missouri State on Thursday night.

Rozell Nunn scored 21 points and had eight rebound for SIU-Edwardsville (9-15, 5-5 Ohio Valley Conference), which shot 49 percent from the field, including 13 of 25 from 3-point range, in its fourth-straight home court win.

Keaton Jackson contributed 16 points, including the game-tying layup at the buzzer to force overtime. Kris Davis also scored 16 for the Cougars, while Christian Salecich had 14.

SE Missouri (12-12, 3-7) led by as many as eight midway through the second half on a three-point play by Jarekious Bradley that made it 53-45. But the Cougars shaved the gap and then outscored the Redhawks 14-9 in OT to take the win.

Tyler Stone led the Redhawks with a career-high 37 points in the loss.
