Siakam leads New Mexico State over Seattle 73-47

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) Pascal Siakam had 15 of his 24 points in the second half as New Mexico State avenged its only Western Athletic Conference loss this season, beating Seattle 73-47 on Thursday night.

The Aggies (16-10, 8-1) pushed their lead to 46-27 on a 12-2 run midway through the second half and were never challenged from there.

DK Eldridge and Tshilidzi Nephawe added 11 points each for New Mexico State which has won six straight since losing to the Redhawks 58-52 in Seattle on Jan. 17.

Siakam grabbed seven boards while shooting 8 of 11 from the field and 8 of 8 from the foul line.

Seattle (11-12, 4-5) scored eight straight to take its only lead at 11-10. The Aggies then answered with 11 straight to take the lead for good.

Isiah Umipig led the Redhawks with 15 points.
