Seton Hall looks toward graduate transfers
Seton Hall had a rough go of it a season ago, and this year, he's changing up his philosophy.
For 2014-15, Hall fans were buzzed about two incoming freshmen, Angel Delgado and Isaiah Whitehead, who were supposed to lead the Pirates to the promise land. But that's not how it went down. Both had their moments; especially Delgado. But Whitehead feuded with Sterling Gibbs at times and was erratic on the court.
This year, Kevin Willard is relying on a few fifth year seniors to right the ship.
Poised to perhaps make the biggest impact is 6-foot-9 Fresno State graduate transfer Braeden Anderson. He has traveled a long, nearly fatal road to Seton Hall, but was once on Kansas’ campus as a freshman and can fill an important void at center.
Another impact graduate transfer boarding the Pirates’ ship is UMass wing Derrick Gordon. Division I’s first openly gay player, Gordon will bring veteran leadership from his two NCAA Tournament appearances and will occupy an off-ball guard spot, likely as a starter.
