SC Upstate leaves a deep impression on Presbyterian, 76-48 (Dec 13, 2016)

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Josh Cuthbertson scored 22 points, Malik Moore added another 21 and South Carolina Upstate cruised past Presbyterian, 76-48 on Tuesday night.

The pair combined to hit 8 of 9 from beyond the 3-point line while the team hit 59 percent (13 of 22) from distance. SC Upstate (7-5) was less efficient shooting from close range, hitting just 49 percent overall from the field (26 of 53).

Culbertson and Moore set the tone early with each hitting from deep to give SC Upstate a 6-0 lead in the first 90 seconds. Culbertson's 3 midway through the half made it 20-8 en route to a 37-22 halftime advantage.

Darius Moore and Jo'Vontae Millner scored 14 and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Blue Hose, who were 19 of 53 (35.8 percent) from the field, including just 2 of 18 from distance.

Presbyterian (3-6) is winless through six road games.
