Sam Houston State defeats North Texas 92-74

Josten Crow scored 24 points and had 10 assists and Gilberto Clavell added 17 points and 10 rebounds as Sam Houston State defeated North Texas 92-74 Wednesday night.

Marcus Williams finished with 15 points and Nafis Richardson had 14 for the Bearkats (5-2), who ended the Mean Green's 18-game winning streak against non-ranked opponents.

Kedrick Hogans scored 19 points to lead North Texas (7-2), which had won five straight.

Sam Houston State never trailed, led 44-36 at halftime and pushed its advantage to 20 in the second half when it shot 61.3 percent.

The Bearkats finished with 30 assists on 36 field goals and scored 20 points off 15 turnovers by North Texas.

Josh White had 14 points for the Mean Green, and Dominique Johnson scored 11.
