Corey Allmond scored 15 points and Gilberto Clavell added 11 to lead Sam Houston State to a 73-42 victory over LeTourneau College Saturday night. The Bearkats outscored the Yellowjackets 42 to 10 in the paint and out-rebounded the visitors from Longview, Texas 50 to 39 in the season-opening game for both teams. Josten Crow led Sam Houston with nine rebounds. Lance Pevehouse had five. Dale Vanwright led LeTourneau with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
