Sacred Heart's Phil Gaetano made two foul shots with 0:04 left to give the Pioneers (13-17, 17-10) a 53-52 lead. After a timeout, Jones hit the game-winning trey.

Jones stuck the first of his four 3-pointers for a 5-0 lead with 14:39 left in the first half. Sacred Heart finally scored at 14:06 on a jumper by Shane Gibson (12 points).
