Presbyterian 97, Toccoa Falls 38

Khalid Mutakabbir scored 20 points and Presbyterian shot 64.6 percent from the field, a school Division I record, while routing Toccoa Falls 97-38 Tuesday night to win its first game of the season.

The Blue Hose (1-6) also made a school record 42 baskets in 65 attempts.

Presbyterian led 23-11 after 9 minutes and 49-15 at halftime as the Eagles (2-6) shot just 15.2 percent (5 of 33).

Presbyterian's margin of victory was its greatest since defeating Carver Bible College 111-51 on Feb. 16, 2008. Toccoa Falls, of the National Christian College Athletic Association, lost to North Carolina Central 94-40 on Nov. 20.

William Truss added a career-high 17 points, Joshua Clyburn had 16 and Jordan Downing 14. Truss and Austin Anderson grabbed 11 boards apiece as the Blue Hose outrebounded the Eagles 56-18, another school Division I record.

Derek Westfall led the Eagles with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
