Prairie View 83, Dallas Christian 48

Trant Sampson scored 24 points and Duwan Kornegay had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Prairie View A&M past Dallas Christian 83-48 Tuesday night.

The Panthers (3-10) never trailed, and scored 16 straight points to open a quick 18-2 lead. Sampson scored 14 of the 16 points in the run, including three 3-pointers. He finished the game 5 of 10 from behind the arc.

Prairie View led 40-18 at the half and by as many as 40 points in the second half against Dallas Christian, which plays in the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Michael Griffin scored 10 points for Prairie View, which was coming off a 90-51 loss to No. 12 Michigan State on Saturday.

Three players were in double figures for the Crusaders (2-17). Antoine Warren had 17 points, Isaac Gonzales 14 and Anthony Tubbs 10.
