Oregon Ducks Face Former Duck Ahmaad Rorie and Montana

The Oregon Ducks are looking to improve before Pac-12 play begins in a few weeks, next up is Montana who is led by a former Duck.

Ahmaad Rorie was a big piece of the puzzle a few seasons ago for the Oregon Men’s Basketball team. Now he leads the charge for the Montana Grizzlies. Montana has had a rough start. After a two game winning streak their latest game was a loss to Wyoming. The team could turn the corner with an upset Tuesday over Oregon.

Dana Altman has instilled a sense of urgency that has not quite taken hold. The team has been the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde of differing halfs so far. Alabama appeared to be beaten on Sunday, but the second half saw them come back to take the lead with 4 minutes left in the game. The Ducks were able to put it together and pull out the victory, but with UCLA at the end of the month, the time for things to start clicking on all cylinders for Altman and the team is now.

Dillon Brooks is working his way back into the Starting Lineup following off-season foot surgery and is progressing well on the court. He has shown more physicality to his game over the last week. I expect him to be in the Starting Lineup at somepoint over the next few games as Pac-12 play looms larger with each game. UCLA comes to MKA on December 28th highly ranked and ready to upset Oregon on their home floor. One game at a time though.

Ahmaad Rorie is leading Montana averaging over 14 points per game. The Grizzlies have won two of their last five games compared to Oregon who has been home for the month of December. Home cooking has the Ducks looking to push their winning streak to 32 straight on Tuesday night.

The Oregon Ducks host Montana on Tuesday at 7pm Pacific Time.
