Oregon 63, Oregon St. 59

E.J. Singler had 16 points and Jay-R Strowbridge scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half as Oregon defeated Oregon State 63-59 on Saturday.

Strowbridge made two free throws with 8 seconds remaining to seal the win for Oregon (9-10, 2-5 Pac-10), which outscored Oregon State (8-10, 3-4) 11-4 during a four-minute stretch late in the game.

Lathen Wallace had 15 points and Roberto Nelson 11 for the Beavers.

Oregon shot 24 of 48 from the floor, including 9 of 23 from 3-point range. Oregon State was 20 of 52 overall.

Strowbridge scored consecutive baskets to give the Ducks a 48-46 lead, their first in more than 12 minutes.

Garrett Sim's 3-pointer with 3:36 to play put Oregon ahead 54-50. Strowbridge added 3-pointer with 2:21 remaining as the Ducks took a seven-point lead.

Jared Cunningham made two foul shots for the Beavers to cut the deficit to five, and Singler made two free throws with 36 seconds left to put the Ducks ahead 61-54. A Cunningham 3-pointer cut the lead to four.

After Singler missed two foul shots, Nelson rebounded a teammate's miss and scored to make it 61-59 with 9 seconds left.

Sim, who had scored in double figures just twice in the previous eight games, finished with 15 points.
