New Mexico pulls away from Air Force 74-67 (Feb 08, 2017)

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Sam Logwood scored 17 points and New Mexico beat Air Force 74-67 on Wednesday night for the Falcons' third straight loss.

Neither team led by more than six after six lead changes until Aher Uguak's 3-point play on the heels of Dane Kuiper's back-to-back 3-pointers put the Lobos up 60-53 with 9:44 left to play. Frank Toohey hit a layup and Air Force closed to 65-63, then Hayden Graham tied it with a layup with 2:06 left.

Jordan Hunter made one of two from the line for a 68-67 New Mexico lead, then he and Elijah Brown combined for six free throws in the final 20 seconds. The Falcons missed six shots in the final 1:47. New Mexico didn't have a basket after the 7:10 mark, getting its last 12 points from the foul line on 14 attempts.

Elijah Brown scored 13 points with four assists and Dane Kuiper hit 4 of 5 3-pointers for the Lobos (15-10, 8-5 Mountain West).

Graham led the Falcons (10-14, 3-8) with 17 points.
