NC State adding Missouri transfer Harris, losing Kirk

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State is adding Missouri freshman transfer Blake Harris and losing reserve forward Shaun Kirk to UNC Pembroke.

Wolfpack coach Kevin Keatts said Wednesday that Harris would likely begin practicing next week. The 6-foot-3 Harris is a North Carolina native from Chapel Hill. He must sit a year due to NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to play for the spring semester midway through the 2018-19 season.

Harris averaged 3.8 points and 3.1 assists in 13.9 minutes per game as part of a heralded recruiting class for the Tigers.

Kirk, a 6-8 junior, has played in just five games this season, averaging 2.2 points and 2.8 rebounds. Keatts said the move would allow Kirk to play with his brother, Braves guard Tyrell Kirk.
