Mountain West suspends New Mexico guard Troy Simons
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) New Mexico guard Troy Simons was suspended for one game by the Mountain West Conference for an accumulation of violations.
Simons, a junior, has been ejected twice this season. He received two technical fouls in New Mexico's game against rival New Mexico State on Nov. 17 and again in Wednesday's loss to Boise State.
In all, there were four technical fouls issued in Wednesday's game. Two went to Simons; the others went to the Broncos' Chandler Hutchison and assistant Phil Beckner.
Simons will serve his suspension when the Lobos host San Jose State on Saturday.
The Lobos did not immediately comment on the suspension.
