Mississippi Valley State beats Alabama A&M 77-67 (Feb 06, 2018)
ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) Jordan Evans had 23 points on Monday night and Mississippi Valley State overcame a 13-point, first-half deficit to beat Alabama A&M 77-67.
The Delta Devils (2-22, 2-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference) took control in the middle of the second half with a 16-3 run to lead 58-50. The Bulldogs (2-22, 2-9) cut the deficit to 59-55 but got no closer than five down the stretch.
Alabama A&M opened the game with a 22-9 lead and led again by 13 two more times, the latest at 27-14. Mississippi Valley State went on a 13-4 run from there and closed the deficit completely by halftime.
Dante Scott added 16 points, Gemaal Davis scored 10 and Emmanuel Ejeh had 15 rebounds to go with nine points for the Delta Devils.
Arthur Johnson had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Evan Wiley scored 12 and Andre Kennedy added 10 for the Bulldogs.
