Michigan's Caris LeVert cleared to go, but when will he play?

Michigan could have its leading score back for an NCAA Tournament push.

According to a report from MLive.com's Brendan F. Quinn on Wednesday afternoon, senior guard Caris LeVert has been cleared to play. LeVert has been out since Dec. 30, missing the past 10 games with what the team will only describe as a lower leg injury.

The 6-foot-7 LeVert, who is currently projected as a first round draft choice in DraftExpress.com's current mock draft, will decided when he returns, according to Michigan head coach John Beilein.

"This is his call," Beilein said Tuesday. "This isn't my call. We'll see what he feels like after today's practice — how much he can go."

LeVert is averaging 17.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 14 appearances this season. He leads the team in points, assists and minutes per game. 

Michigan is currently slotted as No. 9 seed in the latest Bracket Watch after suffering back-to-back blowout losses to Indiana and Michigan State.

The Wolverines go on the road to face Minnesota, a team winless in Big Ten play, on Wednesday night.
