McLean, Mosely, Lewis pace James Madison to 105-99 2OT win (Nov 22, 2017)

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Joey McLean scored two clutch baskets and scored seven of his career-high 22 points in the second overtime as James Madison battled past Appalachian State 105-99 on Wednesday.

McLean drove down the right side of the lane, spun away from his defender to nail an open jumper that gave James Madison (2-4) a 99-95 lead. Half a minute later, a tightly guarded Justin Forrest tried a 3-pointer from the baseline with Appalachian State trailing by four but the shot caromed hard off the back iron, McLean caught it on the fly and outran everyone down the floor for a left-handed layup and a 101-95 James Madison lead with 28 seconds left.

Stuckey Mosley sealed the win with a pair from the foul line and finished with a career-best 32 points with five 3-pointers and nine of 10 free throws.

Matt Lewis added 26 for the Dukes and Develle Phillips 15 points and 11 rebounds. McLean had four steals.

Justin Forrest led all scorers with a career-best 36 points for the Mountaineers (3-3), Ronshad Shabazz added 22.
