No. 8 Loyola Chicago Ramblers vs. No. 1 Illinois Fighting Illini
Result: Loyola wins 71-58

Prayers up

Sister Jean pulled double duty ahead of the showdown between Loyola Chicago and Illinois, not only invoking the pregame prayer for the Ramblers but also providing a scouting report.

Upset complete

It sure seemed like everyone was listening, as the eighth-seeded Ramblers ran out to an early lead that they never relinquished in a shocking win against the Midwest region's top seed.

No. 9 Wisconsin Badgers vs. No. 1 Baylor Bears
Result: Baylor wins 76-63

Climbing the elevator

Very few plays are more exciting than a well-executed alley-oop, and this Baylor lob is proof of that.

All Baylor

The Baylor Bears flexed their muscles en route to victory, with big-time plays, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer and Matthew Mayer's 15 points (and his mullet).

No. 11 Syracuse Orange vs. No. 3 West Virginia Mountaineers
Result: Syracuse wins 75-72

Orange upset

Another top dog went down as Syracuse's version of the splash brothers put on an absolute clinic from 3. West Virginia had no answer for the duo of guards Buddy Boeheim and Joseph Girard beyond the arc.

Oh, so close

The Mountaineers found some momentum with the clock winding down, but unfortunately, it was too little, too late for the 3-seed.

No. 6 Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks
Result: Arkansas wins 68-66

Back-and-forth battle

Arkansas and Texas Tech duked it out until the final seconds, knocking down shots from deep. It was heartbreak for the Red Raiders as the Razorbacks narrowly escaped with a victory.

Arkansas certainly put on a show, with deep shots, jaw-dropping rejections and perfectly executed dimes.

No. 10 Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. No. 2 Houston Cougars
Result: Houston wins 63-60

Houston almost had a problem.

The name of the game is survive and advance, and the Cougars did just that as they clawed back from a deficit to take the lead late.

Valiant Knights

Rutgers' Jacob Young was cold-blooded against his dad's former team.

On defense, Caleb McConnell was just mean, picking Houston's pocket.

No. 15 Oral Roberts Golden Eagles vs. No. 7 Florida Gators
Result: Oral Roberts wins 81-78

Goodbye, Gators

Oral Roberts completed its second straight upset to punch a ticket to the Sweet 16.

Cleared for takeoff

Is there anything more savage than this poster dunk from Florida's Anthony Duruji?

No. 13 North Texas Mean Green vs. No. 5 Villanova Wildcats
Result: Villanova wins 84-61

Never a doubt

The Wildcats were having fun and getting it done against the Mean Green.

Rebounding is key.

If at first you don't succeed, try again, like North Texas' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl did with this putaway slam.

No. 12 Oregon State Beavers vs. No. 4 Oklahoma State Cowboys
Result: Oregon State wins 80-70

Callin' on Cunningham

Oklahoma State found itself down from the start, but Cowboys star Cade Cunningham was doing it all to close the gap late.

Ballin' Beavers

Oregon State hung on, with plays on offense and defense, to get the job done and complete the upset.

What a day of upsets! Check back Monday for more!
