Louisville lands graduate transfer for next season

Louisville has seen success with graduate transfers this season, as Damion Lee and Trey Lewis are currently the team's top two scorers.

On Tuesday, head coach Rick Pitino locked up a grad transfer for next season in former Penn guard Tony Hicks. Evan Daniels of Scout.com reported the transfer.

The 6-foot-2 guard decided to leave the Penn program back on Oct. 30, but elected to remain in school. Graduating this spring gives him immediate eligibility for the 2016-17 season. He played his first three seasons for Jerome Allen, but he and the school parted ways at the end of the 2014-15 season.

Hicks was the Quakers leading scorer, averaging 13.2 points per game. He was an All-Ivy League honorable mention pick last season.

Hicks joins an incoming class that includes five-star wing V.J. King and shooting guard Frankie Hughes.
