Louisville freshman Shaqquan Aaron to transfer
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Louisville coach Rick Pitino has announced that freshman forward Shaqquan Aaron will transfer.
Aaron averaged 1.3 points in 23 games for the Cardinals, highlighted by an 11-point, five-rebound effort at Wake Forest in January. The 6-foot-7 Seattle native missed the season's first nine games while the NCAA determined his amateur status.
Pitino said in a release that ''we are in total agreement with Shaqquan transferring and we wish him the best.''
Aaron is the second Cardinals player to leave the program since a season-ending loss to Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament East Region final. The school announced last week that sophomore reserve guard Anton Gill will transfer.
