Louisville Basketball: Terry Rozier shining for the Celtics in preseason play

Former Louisville basketball player Terry Rozier had another great game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night.

Terry Rozier was a star for the Louisville basketball team during his couple year stint as a Cardinal. He is currently trying to make it in the NBA and he is doing a very fine job. He helped the Celtics improve to a 1-1 record in preseason play on Thursday night.

He is seeing major minutes as a back-up point guard and is making the most of every opportunity on the floor for Boston. When Avery Bradley got hurt last season in the NBA playoffs, Rozier stepped in to fill his role. There was definitely a gap between the talent of the Atlanta Hawks’ guards and Rozier, but he was still able to hold his own.

Coming off a great Summer League performance, Rozier is keeping his play at a high level this preseason.

The Celtics beat the Charlotte Hornets tonight by the score of 107-92. Unfortunately, former Cardinal and current Celtic teammate Damion Lee did not play again for the second straight game.

Rozier on the other hand, proved that he is the Celtics’ best guard off the bench in 2016-2017. According to ESPN, he played 22 minutes, had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 14 points for Boston on Thursday night.

The Celtics play the Charlotte Hornets again on Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm.
