Kent State hires Senderoff as coach
Kent State has hired Rob Senderoff as its basketball coach.
Senderoff had been the Golden Flashes' interim coach after Geno Ford left last week to take the job at Bradley.
The 37-year-old Senderoff spent the past three seasons as an associate head coach on Ford's staff. Senderoff was also at the school from 2002-06.
He will be introduced as Kent State's new coach at a news conference on campus Thursday.
Before returning to Kent State, Senderoff was an assistant at Indiana, where he was involved in the recruiting scandal that led to Kelvin Sampson's resignation and NCAA penalties for the school.
