Kemp leads Marist past Loyola (Md) 72-54
Adam Kemp scored 17 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked a career-high eight shots for Marist as the Red Foxes got past Loyola-Maryland 72-54 on Wednesday night.
Devin Price added 16 points for Marist (10-16, 5-10 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) with the help of 3-for-5 shooting from long distance. The Red Foxes finished with four scorers in double digits, as Jay Bowie and Chavaughn Lewis finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Loyola led Marist 29-23 at the break, but the Red Foxes outscored the Greyhounds 25-5 over the final 7:03 of the game. A dunk by Kemp tied the game at 49-all with just over 7 minutes remaining, and Price hit 3-pointers on each of the Red Foxes' next two possessions to give the team the lead for good.
Shane Walker led Loyola (19-7, 12-4) with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
