Kareem Canty declares for 2016 NBA Draft

On Thursday night, suspended Auburn guard Kareem Canty announced that he has declared for the 2016 NBA Draft.

Canty, a 6-foot-1 guard, is averaging 18.3 points and 5.3 assists per game in his first season with the Tigers. However, he was suspended indefinitely last week by Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl for unacceptable behavior and actions.

Canty began his collegiate career at Marshall. He was ruled a partial qualifier during the 2012-13 season, meaning he could practice with the team, but could not play. He was second on the Thundering Herd in scoring the next season, averaging at 16.3 points per game.

He would transfer that spring, bouncing back-and-forth between Auburn and South Florida before finally landing with Pearl and the Tigers.
