Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr. arrested on domestic battery charge

Kansas forward Carlton Bragg Jr., was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery against a family member, according to the Kansas City Star.

Bragg, 6-foot-9, 240 pound sophomore from Cleveland, remained in Douglas County jail and has not been charged.

“We are still trying to gather information,” Kansas head coach Bill Self told The Star. I will not comment further until we are able to get information other than the fact that it's obviously a charge that we take seriously.

“We are aware of the situation and in the process of gathering information and once we have the facts we will act accordingly," Kansas associate athletic director Jim Marchiony said.

Bragg is averaging 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds while playing all nine games this season for the third-ranked Jayhawks.

Kansas (8–1) plays Nebraska at home on Saturday.
