Junior college guard Angola-Rodas to attend Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Junior college star Braian Angola-Rodas has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Florida State.

Angola-Rodas averaged 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists for North Idaho College this past season and was a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-America selection.

The 6-foot-6 guard will have two years of eligibility remaining and helps fill a void after Malik Beasley declared for the NBA draft and hired an agent. Coach Leonard Hamilton said in a statement that he likes Angola-Rodas' ability to shoot off the dribble and create his own shots.

Angola-Rodas visited Florida State last week. He also considered Oregon, Utah, Washington and Houston.
