John Thompson Jr. interrupts press conference, curses at Big East officials

Hall of Fame coach John Thompson Jr. interrupted his son's press conference on Tuesday night, voicing his displeasure over the officiating.

Georgetown had just come from 11 down to defeat Creighton in the final seconds, 74-73. In the postgame press conference, head coach John Thompson III was asked about overcoming the officiating when the legendary Georgetown coach interjected. Here's the exclusive video from CSN Mid Atlantic:

"Last two games have been terrible, you can tell the [bleeping] commissioner and everybody else in the Big East that I said that," Thompson Jr. said.

On the evening, Georgetown was whistled for 26 personal fouls, while Creighton was called for 21. The Bluejays attempted 24 free throws to the Hoyas' 22. Georgetown more than doubled UConn in fouls in Saturday's loss at home.

"During the course of the game we have to adjust to the officiating," John Thompson III said. "You have to adjust to how they're calling the game. Sometimes it's more difficult than others to adjust to how they're calling the game and tonight was one of those nights, for one reason or another, we couldn't quite adjust to how they were calling the game, but our guys fought and kept playing."

The officiating will be something to watch for on Saturday as Georgetown closes the homestand against No. 10 Providence. The game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tip on FS1.
