JayVaughn Pinkston hoping to be first Brooklyn native on Nets

JayVaughn Pinkston went to high school just down the road at Bishop Loughlin High School on Vanderbilt Avenue.

Just down the road from the Barclays Center, that is.

On Wednesday, the 6'7", 235-pound forward out of Villanova worked out for the Brooklyn Nets, hoping to become the first native of the fair borough to play for the home team.

Pinkston is a bit small to play the power forward spot in the NBA, which could hinder his draft status. As of now, he's a borderline second round pick, but he is a lock to nab a spot on an NBA squad's Summer League roster.
