Iowa State's Deonte Burton wins dunk contest wearing boots
Iowa State guard Deonte Burton has confidence in his leaping ability.
So much so, he elected to compete in championship round of the Hilton Madness slam dunk contest in a pair of Timberland boots. In the final round, the 6-foot-4 Burton threw down a two-handed reverse jam and a 360 double-pump dunk to defeat Nick Babb.
Burton transferred to Iowa State from Marquette in the middle of last season and is eligible to make his debut for the Cyclones at the end of the first semester. Earlier this week, the Big 12 Conference voted him as the Preseason Newcomer of the Year.
