NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) Deyshonee Much scored 19 points, added four steals, and Iona cruised to a 72-51 win over Manhattan on Friday night.

Much shot 7 of 11 from the floor and hit five 3-pointers. Jordan Washington finished with 18 points and 10 boards, while Schadrac Casimir had 11 points for Iona (19-11, 12-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

The Gaels hit 48 percent of their shots and made 12 3-pointers. But Iona did much of its damage defensively, as it held Manhattan (10-21, 5-15) to just 19 total field goals while forcing 23 turnovers.

Zane Waterman led the Jaspers with 20 points. Aaron Walker Jr. finished with 15.

The Jaspers led 22-19, but Iona closed on a 23-5 stretch to open a 15-point lead at the break. Jan Svandrlik drilled a 3 with 18:11 left to push the Gaels' lead to 20, and Manhattan never seriously threatened the rest of the way.
