Hunsaker leads Brown past Rhode Island 85-75

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Zach Hunsaker hit a career-high six 3-pointers and scored a career-best 22 points and Brown turned back Rhode Island 85-75 on Thursday night.

Hunsaker made 6 of 8 from beyond the arc for the Bears (6-6), who shot 46% from distance (13 of 28). Brandon Anderson buried all eight of his free throws, scoring 18, but he had seven of Brown's 19 turnovers. Tamenang Choh pitched in with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Fatts Russell topped the Rams (8-4) with 25 points, but he hit just 9 of 24 shots, including 1 of 9 from distance. Cyril Langevine had 12 points and nine boards, while Jermaine Harris and Jeff Dowtin both scored 10. Tyrese Martin had 11 rebounds to go with nine points.

Rhode Island shot 41% overall but just 20% (4 of 20) from beyond the arc. Brown shot 47% from the floor and made 18 of 22 foul shots (82%). The Rams sank 13 of 21 free throws (62%) and were outrebounded 45-36.
