St. John's held its annual Red Storm Tip-Off on Friday night at Carnesecca Arena. The event featured 10 new faces and one legendary homecoming.
First-year head coach Chris Mullin, who led the Johnnies to the 1985 Final Four, received a loud ovation from the Carnesecca crowd.
However, St. John's President Conrado "Bobby" Gempesaw decided to remind Mullin who is still in charge, jokingly assessing the new coach with a technical foul as a special referee in the intrasquad scrimmage.
