Grady takes over, Davidson tops Dartmouth 79-76
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Kellan Grady tossed in 23 points, including eight in the final 3:43, and Jon Axel Gudmundsson scored 24 to help Davidson rally for a 79-76 victory over Dartmouth on Friday night.
The Wildcats (2-0) were down 76-68 when Grady turned in a 3-point play and a layup to cut the deficit to three with 2:34 remaining. Chris Knight missed a jumper and then fouled Grady on a 3-point attempt. The sophomore guard hit all three of his free throws to put the Wildcats out in front with 4 seconds left. Brendan Barry misfired on a 3 at the buzzer for the Big Green (1-1), who led for 19:56 in the second half.
