Georgia Yante Maten hit by car, will miss game with concussion
Georgia freshman forward Yante Maten was hit by a car and will miss Wednesday night's game at Vanderbilt because of a concussion.
Georgia coach Mark Fox says Maten was struck on campus while using a pedestrian crosswalk on Sunday night. Maten must be cleared by the team's medical staff before he can return to the court.
Maten, from Pontiac, Michigan, is averaging 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds. He leads the team with 26 blocks.
Also, Georgia guard Kenny Paul Geno is out indefinitely with a broken left wrist. Guard Juwan Parker will be a game-time decision with an Achilles injury.
