Georgia Tech's Justin Moore announces plans to transfer

ATLANTA (AP) Georgia Tech guard Justin Moore, a part-time starter in the 2016-17 season whose playing time was dramatically reduced this season, says he will transfer to another school.

Moore announced his plans on his Twitter account on Thursday. The native of San Diego says he made the decision ''after much thought and consideration with my family.''

Moore, a sophomore this season, would have two years of eligibility remaining. He would have to sit out a season before playing at another Division I school.

Moore averaged 4.4 points with 81 assists in 34 games, including 18 starts, as a freshman. He played in only eight games this season and was suspended for two games.
