Florida reinstates suspended forward Finney-Smith

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida will have second-leading scorer Dorian Finney-Smith back against Tennessee on Saturday.

Coach Billy Donovan reinstated Finney-Smith on Friday after the junior forward missed three games for an unspecified violation of team rules.

The Gators (13-15, 6-9 Southeastern Conference) went 1-2 without the player voted the league's sixth man of the year last season.

Finney-Smith's return should give Donovan a better chance at getting career victory No. 500. Donovan has failed to reach the milestone in two previous tries.

Then again, the Gators could be without leading scorer Michael Frazier II and fellow guard Eli Carter. Frazier has missed five consecutive games with a high-ankle sprain and remains in ''significant pain'' when starting and stopping, and Carter has strep throat that has kept him out of practice this week.
