Fairleigh Dickinson withstands Bryant rally in 87-84 win (Jan 7, 2017)

TEANECK, N.J. (AP) Stephan Jiggetts scored 20 points including a pair of free throws at the end as Fairleigh Dickinson held off a furious second-half rally by Bryant to beat the Bulldogs 87-84 on Saturday.

Nisre Zouzoua missed a 3 as time expired.

The Knights led 56-34 at halftime and were up 70-47 on Earl Potts Jr.'s 3 with 14:13 left. Bryant reeled off 11 straight, and Dan Garvin's dunk brought the Bulldogs to within 12 four minutes later.

Bryant's scoring barrage continued and Zouzoua hit a 3 bringing the Bulldogs to within five. His layup with 57 seconds remaining cut the deficit to 83-82 before Darian Anderson made a pair of free throws for Fairleigh Dickinson (6-9, 4-0 Northeast Conference).

Marcel Pettway's layup with two seconds left ended the scoring for Bryant (4-12, 1-3).

Potts finished with 19, and Mike Holloway and Anderson each had 14 points, and Darnell Edge had 13 points for the Knights.

Zouzoua led Bryant with 22 points, Pettway had 21, Bosko Kostur had 17, and Garvin had 11.
