Duke Women's Basketball Adds Talented 2017 Guard
The Blue Devils recently received a verbal commitment from talented class of 2017 guard Jayda Adams.
Three star guard Jayda Adams recently verbally committed to join Duke Women’s Basketball’s class of 2017. She will join four-star center Madison Treece and point guard Mikayla Boykin in the next recruiting class for the Blue Devils.
Jayda Adams is a dynamic 5-10 guard from Santa Ana Mater Dei in Southern California. She is a combo-guard who can excel as a point guard or shooting guard in college. Adams is a talented shooter and scorer as well as a play-maker on offense. ESPNW ran a piece on the future Blue Devil earlier this year as she looks to emerge from the shadows of her older Jordan Adams who excelled at Southern California and former high school teammate Katie Lou Samuelson who is at UConn.
Adams is the second-straight Southern California talent to commit to the Blue Devils, joining Duke freshman Leonna Odom who will make her collegiate appearance this year. Duke Women’s Basketball will kickoff their season with the Blue/White Scrimmage on October 30 before heading to Liberty on November 11 to start the regular season.
