Drexel 84, Niagara 39

Chris Fouch scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Drexel overwhelmed Niagara 84-39 on Tuesday night.

The Dragons (9-2) bolted to a big first-half lead on 55.9-percent shooting from the field (19 of 34 attempts). Meanwhile, the Purple Eagles missed 17 consecutive field-goal attempts over a 12:15 span and never recovered. They trailed 44-15 at halftime and by as many as 47 points in the second half.

Fouch was 5 of 9 on 3-pointers, and the Dragons were 8 of 21 overall. Daryl McCoy added a career-high 17 points, Samme Givens 14 and Gerald Colds 12. Frantz Massenat tied a Drexel freshman single-game record with 11 assists.

The Purple Eagles (3-10), who lost their third in a row and their eighth of nine, were outrebounded 49-27. They were led by 14 points from Anthony Nelson, their only player in double figures.
