DePaul tops Caldwell by 30 in only exhibition game

DePaul ran away in its only exhibition game of the season, defeating Division II Caldwell University (New Jersey), 82-52, on Saturday afternoon at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

Tommy Hamilton IV led the Blue Demons with a team-high 13 points and seven rebounds. Aaron Simpson provided a spark off the bench, adding 12 points and grabbing eight boards.

DePaul was without Myke Henry, as he was sidelined with a shoulder injury, according to Steve Newhouse of WeAreDePaul.com. Henry was second on the team in scoring last season at 12.0 points per game.

DePaul opens the regular season on Saturday against Western Michigan.
