Denver shoots 72 percent in 2nd half to beat Oral Roberts (Jan 31, 2017)
TULSA, Okla. (AP) Daniel Amigo and Jake Pemberton each scored 20 points and Denver shot 72 percent in the second half for a 93-69 victory over Oral Roberts on Tuesday night.
Joe Rosga hit a 3-pointer to give Denver its first lead at 43-42, and Thomas Neff and Rosga made back-to-back 3s to extend the lead to 76-61 with 4:31 left. The Pioneers hit 21 of 29 shots in the final 20 minutes and outscored Denver 59-34.
Rosga, who was scoreless at halftime, had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Ade Murkey tied a season high with 10 points for Denver (14-9, 6-4 Summit League). It was the second time in three games Pemberton scored at least 20.
Aaron Anderson led Oral Roberts (7-17, 3-7) with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Emmanuel Nzekwesi had 15 points and eight rebounds and Kris Martin scored 14.
