Dayton's Wright explores NBA option

Dayton forward Chris Wright will explore his NBA options, then decide whether to return for his senior season with the Flyers.

Wright was their leading scorer and rebounder last season, when they failed to make the NCAA tournament but ended up winning the National Invitation Tournament. He averaged 13.7 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Flyers, who went 25-12.

Wright said Wednesday that he won't hire an agent, leaving him eligible to pull out of NBA draft consideration if it looks like he won't be drafted as high as he'd like. Players have until May 8 to withdraw from the draft and retain their college eligibility.
