Dayton shoots lights out in 80-70 victory over Fordham (Feb 17, 2018)
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Trey Landers tallied a career-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting and Dayton shot 64 percent from the floor on its way to an 80-70 victory over Fordham on Saturday night.
Jalen Crutcher added 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting as the Flyers (12-14, 6-8 Atlantic 10 Conference) made 29 of 45 attempts. Crutcher and Landers both made 3 of 5 from 3-point range as Dayton buried 9 of 18 attempts. Darrell Davis scored 12 with six rebounds and Josh Cunningham totaled 10 points and eight boards.
Landers scored 15 points and Dayton shot 68 percent from the floor and led 42-33 at halftime. The Flyers upped their advantage to 60-46 on a Crutcher 3-pointer six minutes into the second half and his layup with nine minutes remaining gave the Flyers their biggest lead 70-51.
Joseph Chartouny hit five 3-pointers and scored 28 for the Rams (9-17, 4-10). He added 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Prokop Slanina added 15 points and David Pekarek scored 10.
