Creighton lands second four-star guard for 2017
Sunday night's commitment certainly didn't trump the Super Bowl, but its major news for the Creighton program.
Mitch Ballock, a consensus four-star shooting guard, announced that he verbally committed to the Bluejays. He joins fellow four-star two-guard Ty-Shon Alexander in the Class of 2017.
Ballock, the 6-foot-4 junior guard from Eudora, Kansas, held offers from Indiana, Kansas, Iowa State and Oklahoma among others.
According to Steve Pivovar of the Omaha World Herald, Ballock is currently out with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He's is hopeful to return to the floor at the end of February. During the spring and summer, he plays for KC Run GMC in the Under Armour Association.
Creighton and Butler are the only two Big East programs to have multiple commits in the Class of 2017.
