Colgate 61, Dartmouth 55
Sterling Melville made two free throws with 4 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime and Colgate went on to beat Dartmouth, and his younger brother Tyler, 61-55 on Monday night.
Tyler outscored Sterling 12-6 in the last meeting, despite Colgate winning 67-64. But, this time, Sterling scored eight points to Tyler's one.
Tied 48-48 after regulation, Nick Pascale's three-point play and Yaw Gyawu's free throw gave the Raiders (5-5) a 52-48 lead with 3:49 remaining. The Raiders stretched it to as much as seven, 59-52, with 35 seconds to go.
Gyawu finished with 16 points.
The Big Green (3-8) struggled in overtime, going just 1 of 9 from the field (11.1 percent), including 1 of 6 from 3-point range (16.7 percent).
Dartmouth led 23-21 at halftime before shooting 26.9 percent in the second half (7 of 26).
Jvonte Brooks led Dartmouth with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
