Bowman sparks late run, High Point beats Presbyterian 68-58 (Feb 09, 2017)
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) Miles Bowman Jr. had 16 points and sparked a late run to help High Point pull away from Presbyterian for a 68-58 win on Thursday night.
Bowman started a 10-2 run with a 3-point play at just under five minutes to go and capped it on a 3-pointer that gave the Panthers (14-11, 8-5 Big South) a 59-47 lead with 2:17 left. The Blue Hose (5-19, 1-12) had three 3-pointers and a layup to cut the deficit to 64-58 before Bowman put it out of reach on a layup with 20 seconds left.
Tarique Thompson added 14 points and Anthony Lindauer had 11 for High Point, which has won seven of eight.
Will Adams had 14 points, Reggie Dillard scored 13 and Ruben Arroyo added 12 for Presbyterian. The Blue Hose started the second half trailing by eight and got as close as 49-45 before the Panthers' late run.
