Arkansas Razorbacks Basketball Bounces Back To Beat LSU
Arkansas Razorbacks basketball ended their two-game losing streak with a win on the road at LSU.
The Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team had been in a slump but came back to beat LSU 78-70 on the road. The Hogs started out a bit slow as usual but kicked it into gear in the second half to get the win.
Although LSU’s Blakeney came out and hung 21 points on the Razorbacks, in the end, it wasn’t enough. Arkansas started the game competitive but from the 10:39 mark in the first half, LSU led the way at the halftime.
Coming out into the second half, the Hogs were down 31 to 42. If we have learned anything throughout the season it’s that Arkansas will generally be down coming into the second so that was no shocker.
What was kind of shocking was the Hogs beginning to rally and start playing well. Defensively Arkansas began turning turnovers into points, which is something they have struggled with a lot this year. By the 14:09 mark in the second, it was all Hogs.
They took over the lead 47 to 46 and from there, never looked back. Macon and Hannahs tied for the most points with 17 and Beard, the only other player to reach double-digits, had 11. Kingsly and Thomas each tied with 9 points. Thomas, however, led the Hogs is rebounding with 9.
It wasn’t the best game played by the Razorbacks this season but it was a win that Arkansas desperately needed. The Hogs had a two-game losing streak to MIZZOU and Vandy heading into Baton Rouge. Arkansas advances to 18-7 and 7-5 in the SEC. Woo pig.
