A&M recruit dies in car crash

Texas A&M basketball recruit Tobi Oyedeji (oh-yee-day-jee) has died from injuries he suffered in a car accident.

The school says the 6-foot-9 Oyedeji was a power forward from Houston Bellaire who had signed to play with the Aggies this fall. Oyedeji died in Houston after the crash early Sunday.

Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon says ``the world lost a great kid.'' He expressed his condolences to the boy's parents, who lost their only child.

The Aggies went 24-10 last season, losing to Purdue in overtime in the NCAA regional semifinals.
