Albany (NY) 87, Colgate 63

Gerardo Suero scored 29 points and Logan Aronhalt added 16 points to help Albany (N.Y.) pull away and beat Colgate 87-63 on Wednesday night for their third straight home win.

Suero made a career-high 11 field goals, setting a season-high in field goal percentage (78.5 percent) in the process.

Aronhalt opened the game with a layup and 3-pointer before recording steals on back-to-back possessions that lead to two baskets by Suero. Suero's layup with 16:01 left in the first gave the Great Danes an 11-0 lead.

A Mitch Rolls' 3-pointer would cut the lead to three, 18-15, but Suero and Aronhalt made consecutive baskets, sparking a 24-10 run that extended Albany's lead to 42-25.

Pat Moore led Colgate (3-5) with 18 points and Rolls added 16 but only one other Colgate player scored over five points.

The Raiders still hold a 13-4 all-time series lead over the Great Danes.
